Not just a video player

Adaptive HD streaming across multiple devices and bandwidths
Deliver your live and on-demand videos using the leading streaming technologies: Apple HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) and Adobe HTTP Dynamic Streaming (HDS), which provide adaptive switching for smooth video playback and optimised viewing experience. Our adaptive streaming technologies allow for concurrent video play-back and recording, delivering optimized video quality on all viewing devices and automatically adjusting for different browsers, screens and bandwidths.

Compatibility & Customisation

High Definition (HD) video quality on desktops, tablets & mobiles
3B PLAYER delivers consistent high quality HD content on all devices, browsers and screens. On mobile, the player uses video controls adapted by each particular device for touch screen optimisation. When neither Flash nor HTML5 is available, (e.g. BlackBerry), the download fall-back resumes, ensuring all your viewers are catered for. Viewers have the option to manually toggle the player button as they watch and adjust quality between HD and Standard mode.

Responsive multimedia player design

3B PLAYER is customisable to complement the look and feel of your company brand and website.  The player supports multimedia content complete with integrated features that promote content distribution and superior viewing experience. Responsive site and player design promotes functionality that adapts to different types of viewing devices and the look and feel of the embedded players for easy reading and navigation with minimum resizing and scrolling. Publishers can add identity image watermarks and logos to videos played on the 3B PORTAL or any embedded players.  Hyperlinked banners for sponsored videos or playlists can be added below the video player and to the applets footer complete with click-counter for stats; perfect for promoting related video content or event sponsors.

Playlists and Channels

Embedded single player with integrated playlists
Line-up and publish entire playlists and play multiple videos in succession within the same video player. The most commonly used Media RSS (MRSS) playlist format is supported. Metadata for each individual video is displayed along with the preview thumbnail. Related videos or "more like this" features enable you to make video recommendations to your viewers.

Embedded playlists and WebTV Channel templates (HTML5 Applets)
Individual playlists or a number playlists can be grouped to create Multimedia WebTV Channels. Launching the player applet is a simple "copy and paste" of the embedded code. Scheduled auto-publishing of each video or the entire playlist using a scheduler to define “on-air” times creates a TV style programme schedule for continuous playback.

PLAYER Accessibility

Interactive viewing and participation tools
3B PLAYER displays the 'embed, share and reporting' shortcuts on the player control to facilitate viral content sharing. The player is also whitelisted on most social sites for in-stream playback of the shared links via email or posting to Facebook, Twitter, Viadeo, LinkedIn, and Google+. Interactive viewing experience is achieved also through conditional in-video ‘call to action’ forms and button components at ‘pause’, ‘replay’, ‘mid-roll’ or ‘post-roll’.

Comments, feedback, favourites playlists and e-mail alerts
Viewers can communicate directly with publishers through posting reports, comments and  feedback or to privately ask questions, request interviews, meetings or product demos. Viewers can create favourite playlists for easy access and also subscribe to receive instant, daily or weekly e-mail alerts on newly published live and on-demand videos and webcasts.

Video properties, sponsored texts, images and banners
Video properties include the presenting company name, presenter profile, video title and description and sponsored or promotional texts, images or banners below the player, which are click-able through to a related website.  The player applet footer can be branded with hyperlinked images or logos to promote sponsors or particular a product.

Web-links and video related documents
Each video can have related web-links, related video transcripts, factsheets, press releases, presentations or research documents to complement the video messages.

Playlists and content navigation pagers and search engine

The player features a powerful search engine as well as the customised searches and filters saved to the viewers' profile.

Live & on-demand videos and webcasts in a self-contained applet
Playlist can contain a combination of live and on-demand audio, videos, webcasts, images and documents. Presentation slides and images can be synchronised with video timelines to easily create live and on-demand webcasts. Viewers can download, print or share specific slides, which link back to the exact video timeline.

Channel RSS feeds
Quick and easy access to your content is enhanced with our integrated RSS feeds. The embedded player applets generate custom RSS feeds URL with all videos in the playlist for viewers to receive automated alerts in real-time. Whenever you create playlists for the embedded channels, our system gives you the option simply to tick a box to place an RSS icon on the channel applet footer. Each video link within the playlist will be published to the RSS feed from where viewers can subscribe to receive timely updates and alerts.

Closed Captions (CC) or Subtitles

Closed Captions (CC), language subtitles and scene tags
Video scene tags, Closed Captions (CC) or multiple subtitle tracks in WebVTT (plain text HTML5 standard), SRT (plain text) or DFXP (XML) formats can be added to all your videos to drive SEO, provide accessibility by enabling your viewers to select their language translations or to provide continuous video play in noisy environments and in aid of hearing. 3B PLAYER supports all captions formats across all browsers in both Flash and HTML5. When the player encounters Closed Captions script, it automatically places a CC button in the player control bar, which viewer can switch on/off. We currently support seven language subtitles.
