Low Carbon Lighting: ultra efficient lighting
Low Carbon Lighting, a recently formed UK company, aims to commercialise a range of low carbon lighting technologies. The basis of these technologies is a rapid heat transfer and cooling system, developed by a former NASA scientist. This nanotechnology can transfer heat up to 140 times the rate of copper. The system can be applied to any heat transfer application such as cooling PC microchips to cooling step-down transformers for national electric power grids.
